Glimmervole

Glimmervoles are nocturnal rodents with glowing fur. They blend in with other plants that glow year-round, and prey on glowing bugs. The size of rats or small guinea pigs, these creatures have a rounded body, soft fur, short limbs, and agile paws. Translucent patches cover their belly and shoulders, with large, twitchy, semi-transparent ears. Their tail is flat and paddle-like for balance.

Glimmervoles are a common snack, providing a quick protein boost, though with low caloric value. Their bioluminescence can be harvested for pigments or dyes.
