Sunbrittle

(NEEDS UPDATE)

Sunbrittle is a pale golden-green moss that glows faintly in moonlight. It can be brewed into broth or chewed raw, rich in natural sugars, minerals, and fats, able to restore weight to those wasting or malnourished. It grows commonly anywhere it can catch sunlight, often in dry, dusty areas. In early vernal, it sends up small golden sporophores which scatter dust-like spores. Sunbrittle is best gathered in late Susurrous, when it’s fattest with stored sugars and oils. If harvested too early, it tastes bitter and has less nutritional value.
