Hellegrasp

(NEEDS UPDATE)

Hellegrasp is a spindly, creeping plant with jagged, curling, leaves - dull green with reddish edges and white blister-like bumps. When brushed against, the leaf hairs break open, releasing a clear, oily resin smelling faintly of overripe melon. Touching the resin causes immediate itching, followed by welts and blisters within an hour. If not washed off, the symptoms worsen for up to 12-36 hours depending on exposure. It’s a non-lethal plant used for trapping thieves or unwanted pests. It’s a common reed that grows anywhere it can, and is utilized by Cultivators to protect crops. The irritating plant is a year-round nuisance, but its oily resin is most potent during the humid Solstice.
