Ashplum

The Ashplum Tree is a twisted deciduous with dark bark that smells faintly of smoke. Its leaves are serrated, triangular, and smoky-green, darkening as the warm seasons wane. It bears dusky-blue Ashplums with ash-colored flesh, bittersweet and used as ritual offerings and preserves. Its blossoms are ash-colored, barely noticeable against the bark. Ashplum trees tend to grow, twisted and knotted, in disturbed, open areas - this results in them thriving in the aftermath of forest fires. The bittersweet plums are harvested for preserves and offerings in Susurrous.
