Needlespire

The Needlespire is a towering conifer with black bark and long, thin spines clustered in fans instead of soft needles. Spines snap off and can be used as sewing or fishing implements, and the sap is fragrant, sharp, and antiseptic. Needlespire tends to grow in wet, dark areas. Its fragrant, antiseptic sap is tapped as the weather warms in Vernal.
