Honeynut

(NEEDS UPDATE)

The Honeynut Tree is a stocky-limbed tree with mottled bronze bark. Its leaves are wide, bronze-dusted, and lobed like a fig. It produces Honeynuts. Honeynuts are stubby, golden nut pods with sticky sap inside. They’re cracked and eaten raw to balance blood sugar and can give a quick boost to energy on an empty stomach. Honeynut blossoms are pale, small, an yellow with a sweet scent, clustering near joints of its branches. Birds sometimes tear open Honeynut pods for sap, allowing creatures to scavenge leftovers without sticky paws. Honeynut trees are short and gnarled, spreading like hawthorns at forest edges and plains borders. Its sticky, energy-rich nut pods are cracked open and harvested in Susurrous.
